Wendelinskapelle (St. Wendelin’s chapel)

Marktstraße 2 (Map)

This late Gothic chapel is unique and mysterious. It is the only chapel in Swabia to have rectangular choir windows decorated with tracery as well as freestanding arch ribs in the choir interior.

The chapel was first mentioned in an official document in 1433. In 1693 the building burned down and the roof collapsed. A new roof was built for the ruin in 1721, and in 1978 the building was completely restored.
